Alkare Ltd is a provider of Specialist Residential and Nursing Care Services for vulnerable adults with a variety of care requirements. Alkare welcomes adults with Mental Health Problems, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Forensic History and Acquired Brain Injury.

Originally established in 1997, Alkare now operate 11 small Homes throughout the Swansea and Neath area of South-Wales. Most homes have 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms, but we also offer some single occupancy Homes and one 7 bedroom Home. Each Home is planned in accordance with the needs of the people living in them. Clients have the choice of using our services, making them a Home for life, self- development and further growth. Our goal is to provide fulfilled and stimulating lives for the clients in a Home environment.

We concentrate our services in three main areas:

• Therapeutic Residential Services for individuals with mental impairment and encompassing psychiatric disorders,
• Individually designed residential services for individual with complex and challenging needs relating to brain injury,
• Mental health and forensic residential units based within the local community.

At Alkare we are committed to providing quality care and support that puts the client at the centre of everything we do. We are keen to work with other carers and family members in developing and delivering our care services. All our services are based upon firm therapeutic principles of good practice.

Our mission is simply to commit ourselves to providing the highest quality residential services. We aim to achieve this through the maximization of the potential of our clients and our staff.

Alkare became part of the tracscare family in May 2006.
